Health Care

Internal Medicine

Our hospital offers a broad range of veterinary services to best protect your pet's health and overall well-being. While our focus is on disease prevention and wellness care, you can also rely on our skilled, compassionate medical team when your pet is sick. To that end, an important part of our practice is the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases that can affect your pet's internal organs and body systems. Our experienced staff, supported by our hospitals' advanced diagnostic technology, have expertise in diagnosing and treating complex internal medicine  cases.

Care of Chronic Conditions

Once your pet has been diagnosed with a chronic condition we can perform routine monitoring that is needed to keep your pet healthy.  We make diet recommendations, recommend medications and treatments, and also refer your pet to the appropriate specialty service if the condition changes or is not responding appropriately to the treatments.

Allergies, skin irritations and excessive scratching can make your pet uncomfortable.  Allergies in cats and dogs are treatable conditions that often show up as skin or ear problems.  We will work closely with you to diagnose, treat and monitor any skin, ear, nail or pad problem your pet may have.

Ensuring your pet is meeting its nutritional needs and is provided with ample fresh, clean water, is the most significant health variable you control as your pet's caregiver. Proper nutrition is an essential ingredient for your pet's overall good health. We will perform a thorough body condition evaluation during every physical examination, and give recommendations based on what we see. We can provide you with guidance on proper serving size and nutrient needs for each stage of your pet's life as well as when faced with a medical condition.
